User station #1 is for FEL diagnostics and simple irradiation.

FEL spectrum is routinely measured by using a grating monochromator with pyroelectric detector.

Users can focus MIR-FEL on to their sample by using a focusing mirror or a focusing lens.

In this user station, following instruments are available.

• • Grating monochromator for MIR

  • Various pyroelectric detectors (large area & slow response, small area & fast response)

  • Focusing mirrors and lens

  • 3D-scanning stage (85 x 85 x 85 mm) with control PC

  • UV-VIS monochromator with photomultiplier tube
